About KV

Kendriya Vidyalaya No. 1,Dhanbad a unit of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, New Delhi functioning under Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India opened its eyes in the year 1973 to cater to the educational requirement of transferable Central Govt. Employees children. All classes are housed in the old DVS Building of East Central Railway except classes I,II and Pre Primary which are placed in old AEN building of the Railway and located on the side of station Road very near to Dhanbad Railway Station.

1. Kendriya Vidyalaya No.1, Dhanbad

i) Established in : 1973
Location: Old DVS Building, Near Railway Club ,Near Railway station Dhanbad.

Facilities available:
o Library: Big and spacious with huge number of books, magazines, journals, daily Newspapers & other periodicals
o Games and Sports: Facilities available for Football, Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis, Kabbaddi, Kho-kho, Gymnasium, Badminton.
o Scout and Guide:
o Laboratories: Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Computer Science, Geography.
